Local Brisbane singer, songwriter and musician Kristy Apps worked with the Rogue graphic design team recently to create an original gig poster design for posters, flyers, website and facebook banners.

The What’s Golden at The Tivoli show, titled “Melissa Etheridge – performed by Kristy Apps & guests” is a special performance of Melissa Etheridge’s iconic debut album.

Our graphic design team produced an illustration based off the album cover, combined with textures, overlays and typography to match the early 90s/late 80s aesthetic; playing perfect homage to the iconic artist.

This design was then modified to fit an A3 (420x297mm) poster, and DL (210x99mm) flyer and printed digitally in-house on gloss 200GSM stock.

The online promotional images utilised the same layout adapted to perfectly fit a Facebook Event cover photo (desktop and mobile) and exact sizing requirements of What’s Golden at The Tivoli website.

Performing the iconic smash hit debut album in full by Melissa Etheridge, much loved and critically acclaimed singer songwriters Kristy Apps and special guests Ofa Fanaika and Roz Pappalardo present this encore performance from their recent sold out shows at What’s Golden in the beautiful Tivoli Theatre (Fortitude Valley) on March 27.

Apps and friends will interpret each song from the album while paying homage to the original form. Performing the pioneering hits Like the Way I Do, Similar Features and Bring Me Some Water in the purpose built What’s Golden venue inside the stunning Tivoli, this will be a memorable night of raw powerful vocals, delicately crafted songs with a healthy intake of rock and roll showcasing the work of this groundbreaking artist paving the way for future generations.
